Out Reach Programs
Christu Raj Hospital ventures to assert its identity symbol through manifold out reach activities. The programs in the said path reflect the social commitment of the institution and that results in public accreditation. Here too compassionate concern is a motivating force.
The commencement of rehabilitation and counselling centre for the victim of drug and alcohol addiction in 1984 is to be specially commented. The hospital takes active interest in conducting free medical camps in the remote and under developed villages of Kannur District. Apart from that a few other medical campaigns are being organized under the joint hospices of Christu Raj hospital and Thalassery Social Service Society. In this context, a awareness training programme through health approach, a major initiative under taken in collaboration with Qubel Stiftung, an NGO of Germany, between 1992 – 1996 deserves special mention. The main aim of the project was to germinate health awareness among the illiterate villages.
